1. Introduction

Doxium ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to all users (Free and Pro plans). By using Doxium you agree to the practices described here.

2. Data We Collect

Account data

Username, email address, and password . Pro subscribers also have a subscription status and billing dates stored on their account.

Uploaded documents

Files you upload are stored privately. Storage limit: 50 MB (Free) / 500 MB (Pro).

Query data

We track your monthly query count to enforce plan limits (10/month Free, 100/month Pro). We do not permanently store query text or AI-generated answers.

Usage & technical data

We log upload events, query counts, and errors to monitor system health and enforce limits. We collect your IP address for rate limiting and abuse detection only. We do not run third-party analytics on Doxium.

Payment data

Pro plan payments ($7/month) are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store credit card details.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate your account and enforce plan feature limits
• To process, store, and retrieve your documents for AI-powered queries
• To manage your Pro subscription
• To send transactional emails (welcome, subscription confirmation, renewal notices)
• To detect abuse and enforce rate limits
• To monitor infrastructure health and debug errors

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Service.

4. Data Retention

Data is retained as long as your account is active. Deleting a file removes it from the database immediately. When you cancel Pro, your account reverts to Free limits; documents beyond Free limits are deleted after 30 days. Full account deletion removes all data permanently. Billing records are kept up to 7 years for legal compliance.

5. Your Rights

• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification — correct inaccurate account data
• Erasure — request full deletion of your account and all data
• Portability — download your original uploaded files from the dashboard at any time

6. Cookies

Doxium uses only one essential session cookie for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

Doxium is not directed at children under 16. Contact us immediately if you believe a minor has registered.
